Samajwadi Smartphone Yojana is all set to be rolled out in Uttar Pradesh. The state’s Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will today launch the web portal for registration under for Samajwadi Smart Phone and other related initiatives under the plan. On October 7, the Allahabad High Court has dismissed a PIL challenging the Samajwadi Smartphone Scheme proposed by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. The Lucknow bench of the high court said, “Since the petitioner has failed to place any such provision which bars making such declarations…, no interference of this court is warranted.”
As the CM prepares to launch the plan, Twitterati can’t stop making fun of the initiative just ahead of important Assembly elections in the state early next year.
