Over the Samajwadi party rift and as the heat gradually touches Amar Singh, the businessman known as the ‘crisis manager’ of Samjajwadi party supremo Mullayam Singh Yadav today expressed grief saying that he is hurt by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s comments accusing him to be a ‘dalal’ (broker). Akhilesh Yadav has earlier blamed Amar Singh for the on-going crisis in the party and the dispute within the Yadav family.
In statements to ANI, Amar Singh claimed that he was even blamed when Akhilesh Yadav replaced uncle Shivpal Yadav as the Uttar Pradesh Samajwadi party President. He also said that Shivpal Yadav, then, instead of blaming him welcomed the new party head.
Amar Singh, a close aide of Mullayam Singh Yadav, also known within the party as ‘netaji’, said that he is not in support with Akhilesh Yadav but will always extend help to Mulayam’s son.
Stating that he has two daughters, the businessman also said that he is scared following threatening statements from expelled Samajwadi party member Ram Gopal Yadav. Previously, commenting on Mulayam’s claim that Amar Singh had, earlier saved him from going to jail, Ram Gopal Yadav had blasted claiming that Amar Singh used to manage the CBI, by fooling law departments, in order to save the party supremo.
Expressing grief over Akhilesh’s comments, Amar Singh claimed to have supported the Chief Minister during his marriage, even after his family opposed it.
“Hurt by his words (where UP CM allegedly called him a ‘dalal’). There is no photo of his wedding where this ‘dalal’ is not there,” said Amar Singh in a statement to ANI.
