With uncertainties looming large over the fate of Akhilesh Yadav and the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, Akshay Yadav, son of Ramgopal Yadav, has issued a letter to “expose” how Shivpal Yadav has been conspiring against the UP CM since 2012 .
On Sunday, Mulayam Singh Yadav had sacked Rampgopal Yadav from Samajwadi Party. Announcing the decision, Shivpal had claimed that Ramgopal had moved closer to the BJP camp and he was also misleading Akhilesh. Mulayam took the decision after Akhilesh had sacked a number of ministers, including Shivpal on Sunday.
In the letter, Akshay said that Shivpal had tried his best to prevent Akhilesh from becoming the UP CM in 2012 as he himself wanted to get the top post in Uttar Pradesh.
Akshay said that Shivpal was not happy with Ramgopal since then as the latter had supported Akhilesh.
On Shivpal’s claim that Ramgopal was colluding with the BJP, Akshay said he has proof that Shivpal had met a “very big” BJP leader along with a BJP MP in July.
The letter also said that reception of Shivpal’s son was organised by Amar Singh and the BJP MP. Shivpal had also attended the BJP MP’s victory party.
“In all the meetings, it was decided that Samajwadi Party should not form the next government. And if Shivpal wins a few seat, he would be made the state CM,” the letter said.
Expressing his respect for Akhilesh, Akshay said: “Akhilesh Yadav is my idol. I respect him a lot. He has emerged as a leader even as there were several attempts to suppress him in the last four-and-a-half years. There were also attempts to torture him mentally.”
Supporters of Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav today clashed in Lucknow and raised slogans against their respective leaders.
