In a big setback for the Pinto family which runs the school, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today ordered a number of steps to be taken. The CM also visited the house of 7-yr-old Pradyuman, who was killed in Gurugram’s Ryan International School earlier in the month. While addressing the media, post his meeting with the victim’s mother, Khattar said, “Ryan Murder Case will be handed over to CBI, letter will be written to CBI immediately.” He further added, “State Govt will take over the school management for 3 months,” as quoted by ANI. This decision by the Chief Minister has been taken in the wake of the boy being brutally murdered within the school premises. Until now, the case was being investigated by the Special Investigation Team. The SIT probe found shocking laxity on the part of the school regarding security and safety of the children.
Varun Thakur, father of Pradyuman while reacting to the news of his son’s murder case being handed over to the CBI said, “Glad that the sensitivity this case deserved has been shown.” The Haryana CM in another statement said, “Have directed for a CBI probe & for three months our Dy Comm will look after the school’s functioning.”

A senior SIT officer on Wednesday told PTI, “SIT does not want to leave out a single piece of evidence which can be important and work as a key breakthrough for us to solve this case. With three days left for submission of charge sheet in court, we have got possible positive leads against Ashok Kumar.” He added, “Some more arrests are likely to be made.”
