RSS leader Kundan Chandrawat has been relieved of all his responsibilities for the controversial statement made by him in Ujjain against the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Dr Manmohan Vaidya who is the Akhil Bhartiya Prachar Pramukh of RSS, made the announcement via sangh’s twitter handle. In a video released earlier, Kundan had offered a reward of Rs 1 crore to anyone who beheads the Kerala CM. The reason why he made his statement was explained by Chandrawat was by saying he intended to send a message that the Hindu community is not “sleeping”. A few hours later he made another remark to support his statement. He explained that he “gave explosive statement just like Bhagat Singh used the bomb on British” and repeated that his intention was to make people “know Hindus are not sleeping.”

In the official press release that has been released by the sangh, Kundan Chandrawat has been relieved of his duties because of his controversial statement made in Ujjain and also because he is creating an wrong illusion about the ideologies of the sangh through his statement.

Earlier in the day, Senior CPI (M) leader Sitaram Yechury attacked the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) while talking about the violence that is taking place in the state of Kerala said, “CM called meeting twice, RSS attended but spree of violence is not stopping, it is upto them.” He further talked about how RSS distanced itself from Nathuram Godse and said, “RSS distanced itself from Nathuram Godse also, ghatna hojati hai, hinsa kara dete hain or fir bolte hain hamara lena dena nahi hai” (RSS distanced itself from Nathuram Godse also, after a deed is done they say what do we have to do with it.)
