For the recruitment of 4,400 patwaris, the Rajasthan Subordinate Ministerial Service Selection Board (RSMSSB) will be conducting the main examination on December 24, this year. The preliminary exams were held on February 13 while its results were declared on March 17. Following the petition by the reserved category candidates, the apex court had put a stay on the mains exam, scheduled to be held on July 10.
RSMSSB, in an official statement confirmed that the shortlisted candidates of both General and Reserved categories will be permitted to appear for the mains examination, following Supreme Court directives.
Earlier, the candidates of the reserved category challenged the preliminary examinations and had filed a petition to the Supreme Court, claiming that a few reserved candidates with more marks than general category candidates, were not selected for the mains. As reported by Time of India, the cut-off marks for the Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates were more than the general category applicants.
