Ramaswamy, who is fighting the RK Nagar bypolls as an independent candidate, was allegedly attacked by AIADMK party workers on Saturday.
“I was attacked by AIADMK people, they hounded my vehicle. This is not fair,” said Ramaswamy.
Ramaswamy, who is up against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa in the crucial bypolls, had earlier alleged that there was ‘zero security’ in the polling booths.
The bypolls for the RK Nagar constituency began this morning amid tight security across Chennai.
Jayalalithaa, who is contesting from Chennai for the first time, is the main candidate in the constituency.
