Despite ruling out the possibility of joining politics earlier, superstar Rajinikanth dropped a massive hint on Friday when he asked his fans to be ready for war at the right time, as per an Indian Express report. “They ask me why I want to correct things when there are others (leaders). Yes, there are (other) leaders: (DMK’s M K) Stalin is there, my good friend (and) the best administrator. Cho (Ramaswamy, late political commentator) used to say Stalin will do the best if given a ‘free hand’ in politics, but that has not happened. (PMK’s) Anbumani Ramadoss is well-educated, has modern thoughts…. (Dalit party VCK leader Thol) Thirumavalavan is also admired a lot. Seeman (leader of Naam Tamilar Katchi) is a fighter. I was excited to listen to some of his views. There are others…,” he was quoted saying in the report.

The actor added that he wants to change the corrupt system but mentioned that ‘we all have to work together’ for it. “In ancient times, people had their duties and jobs but when war came, they all came together to fight for their pride and values…. (So) you return home, take care of your responsibilities, but when the war comes…keep a watch…,” Rajini said. Talking about his Tamil origins, Rajini said, “I am 67 years old. For 23 years I was in Karnataka and 44 in Tamil Nadu. I grew up with you. I may have come here as a Kannadiga or Marathi from Karnataka but you gave me love, support, name, fame and prosperity and you have made me a Tamil.”
Rajinikanth left his fans with a speculation spree when he hinted joining politics on Monday. Addressing his fans in Chennai, the superstar said, “Some of my fans urged me to join politics and it’s not bad even to enter politics, but making money out of this is bad.” However, the star added, “If in case I decide to join politics, then those making money will not be entertained.”
