Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Ashish Khetan took a dig at PM Narendra Modi in a tweet, “Sources: Arnab Goswami has been rewarded for his good work for the Modi Govt in last 2 yrs. He has got an exclusive interview with Modi ji.”
Arvind Kejriwal retweeted his April 23, 2014 tweet, which said, “Is Arnab Goswami a journalist or Modi propagandist?”
Journalist Sagarika Ghose said that PM should hold an open press conference instead of holding exclusive interview.
“Dear @PMOIndia pls hold an open press conference rather than bestow favours on individual journalists. Let there be free and fair exchange,” tweeted Sagarika Ghose.
To this, one user trolled her tweeting, “@sagarikaghose @ArvindKejriwal firstly pls answer about your nationtilty and NDTV scam #PMSpeaksToArnab.”
“Essar tapes? Vadra? Relations with delhi govt? relations with RSS? Would have liked some tougher questions. #PMSpeaksToArnab,” read another tweet of Sagarika Ghose.
When whole India is reacting to the interview, how Congress could be on backfoot. INC India tweeted Kapil Sibbal’s statement, “Modi ji, have a press conf. Let our journalists ask you questions. This is better than an interview with one person: Kapil Sibal.”
Journalist Rana Ayub tweeted, “Dozing off, would rather hear the next mann ki baat than have it masquerade as journalism #PMSpeaksToArnab.”
In another tweet, Ayub said, “Bhakton ye suno : Bharat ki har neeti ko pakistan ke saath jodkar na dekhein. We would have slaughtered Manmohan Singh for this statement.”
Former Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi tweeted, “PM’s replies displayed – these sentiments can come only from a person whose heart resides with the poor and India’s growth. #PMSpeaksToArnab.”
