Over frequent cross-border firing and attacks by Pakistan, Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi, today, slammed PM Narendra Modi, claiming that the Prime Minister had created a political vacuum that gives terrorist organizations to operate in the country. The congress VP also claimed that the government had got into a messy situation with regards of dealing with Pakistan and that the policy undertaken by the center on the cross-border tension had been a complete failure.

With the absence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi had, today, chaired the Congress Parliamentary Party meet, for the first time. The Congress vice-president, during the meeting, claimed that the vanity and incompetence of PM Narendra Modi had created tremendous damage and sufferings to the people of the country.

Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Prime Minister and his entire policy making strategy is based on TRPs. Gandhi also claimed that the Congress party had never ‘given India a Prime Minister ‘who was a prisoner of his own image’.

Rahul Gandhi had also urged the Narendra Modi-led central government to come up with a coherent strategy towards solving the Pakistan issue. Citing that the idea behind the surgical strike was to stop cross-border attacks from the neighboring country, Gandhi stated that there had been 21 major attacks and hundreds of ceasefire violations by Pakistan since the surgical strikes. Stating that 85 Indian army jawans had lost their lives in the ongoing tension along the border in Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the soldiers and their family are paying the price as there had been the loss of lives of the highest number of army officials in almost a decade.

Rahul Gandhi had also criticised PM Modi for creating a, ‘opportunistic’ BJP-PDP political alliance in Kashmir and said that the history will judge Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a man who had gifted massive political space to anti-Indian forces.
