PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening took to Twitter to release the schedule of his meetings with Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan. “Ahmedabad and India are ready to welcome Shinzo Abe,” PM Modi wrote and tweeted some beautiful pictures of Ahmedabad. Also, PM Modi said, “India truly values the relationship with Japan and we look forward to further boosting our bilateral ties in a wide range of sectors.” Sharing his schedule, PM wrote, “PM @AbeShinzo and I will attend a wide range of programmes on 13th and 14th September 2017, aimed at further boosting India-Japan ties.” Confirming the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project Modi wrote, “PM @AbeShinzo & I will attend the programme to mark the start of work of India’s first high-speed rail project between Ahmedabad & Mumbai.” “I also look forward to visiting the Sabarmati Ashram & the ‘Sidi Saiyyid Ni Jaali’ with PM @AbeShinzo during his India visit,” Modi added in another tweet.

– At the invitation of PM Modi, Japan PM Shinzo Abe will undertake an official visit to India on September 13 and 14, 2017.

– Ahmedabad will greet Abe with an elaborate civic reception on 13th of September

– Modi and Abe will hold the 12th India-Japan Annual Summit, at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on the 14th of September. The two leaders will deliver statements to the media.

– An India Japan Business Plenary is scheduled the same day. This will be the fourth Annual Summit between Modi and Abe. The two leaders will review the recent progress in the multifaceted cooperation between India and Japan under the framework of their ‘Special Strategic and Global Partnership’ and will set its future direction, as per NarendraModi.in.

– The two leaders will attend a public function to mark the commencement of work of India’s first high-speed rail project between Ahmedabad and Mumbai, on 14th of September. The train is expected to significantly reduce travel time between the two cities

– The two Prime Ministers will also visit Sabarmati Ashram. They will then visit the “Sidi Saiyyid Ni Jaali” – a famous 16th century mosque in Ahmedabad. The two leaders will also visit Dandi Kutir, the museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, at the Mahatma Mandir.
