Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to inaugurate Petro auditions Limited (OPal) in the industrial town of Dahej. The Prime Minister is to dedicate the Rs 30,000 crore petrochemicals plant to the people. The plant, which is claimed to be the largest petrochemicals plant in Asia, with occupation over 1700 metres of land. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the crowd present at the scene. Speaking of the industrial town, he said that Dahej was like mini-India. He said that people from all over India were there and were contributing to the nation. He further said that he had witnessed Dahej grow stronger brick by brick and progress, step by step in all the years. Speaking of the development of the town, he said that Dahej had become one of the top 50 industrial regions of the world.
He congratulated the Dahej-SEZ and the people associated with it for the incredible achievement. He said that that government of Gujarat had to take infrastructure up gradation around the region very seriously. He added that it was due to the efforts of the PCPIR that the town of Dahej and the region surrounding Bharuch has developed significantly in the matters of infrastructure.
The Prime Minister was visibly emotional and said that Dahej was like a child to him who he saw growing up and hence had developed a sentimental connection with the town. He praised OPal for developing Dahej SEZ and PCPIR. He further said that OPal had a huge contribution in various government projects such as Make in India and Smart City. He said that the nation’s petroleum sector was advancing a very fast rate and experts believe that the next decade or two will see a growth of 12-15%.
