Rajasthan High Court judge Mahesh Chand Sharma, who on Wednesday directed the state government to coordinate with the Centre to take necessary steps to declare cow as a national animal, has drawn the attention of tweeple over his remark on peacocks. The judge on Wednesday reportedly said that peacock doesn’t mate peahens but sire offsprings with its. “Jo mor hai, yeh aajeevan bhramachari hai. Kabhi bhi morni ke saath sex nahi karta hai. Iske jo aansu aate hai, morni usse chubhkar garbhavati hoti hai, mor ya morni ko janm deti hai (The peacock is a lifelong celibate. It does not indulge in sex with the peahen. The peahen gives birth after it gets impregnated with the tears of the peacock and then gives birth to a peacock or a peahen),” the judge reportedly said.

Justice Sharma’s statement has made Twitterati crazy as many of them have come up with their own “Peacock theory” on the micro-blogging site. Some of there tweets are quite hilarious. While for one Twitter user, Justice Sharma’s remark could have hurt male ego of peacock, another user said that the bird could now go to court and fight for defemation and claim compensation.
