PDP MLA Mohammad Khalil Bandh was attacked by a stone-pelting mob on Srinagar-Pulwama highway while he was on his way to Srinagar. He has been rushed to a hospital in Srinagar.
Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti visited the lawmaker, who is reported to be in a critical condition.

In an attempt to avoid the mob attack, the vehicle overturned injuring Bandh.
The incident came at a time when the valley remains tense for the 11th consecutive day after Hizbul terrorist, Burhan Wani was killed during a gunfight with security forces on July 8.
“All 10 districts of Kashmir Valley continue to remain under curfew today as a precautionary measure for maintaining law and order,” a police official told PTI.
However, cable television have resumed operation after Pakistani channels were removed. Mobile phone services still remain ceased.
The separatist leaders were under house arrest as the Centre rushed paramilitary forces to assist the state government to maintain law and order in the disturbed valley.
