In a recent development in the Parliament security breach video case, the nine-member Lok Sabha committee probing the incident will consult the lower house speaker Sumitra Mahajan  to determine the further plan of action.  The report on the security breach video and AAP MP Bhagwant Mann’s conduct is due to be submitted on August 3. Mahesh Giri, Harinder Khalsa, Chandumajra and other MPs wrote to Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan to send Bhagwant Mann to rehab centre to treat his alcohol addiction. They also wrote that the AAP MP should only be allowed to attend the house proceedings after his rehabilitation. The decision on the security breach is yet uncertain with the unanimity among the nine-member Lok Sabha committee. Offering an unconditional apology for livestreaming the video, AAP MP Bhagwant Mann wrote a fresh letter to the committee defending his position. The MP also reiterated his position on the issue of Prime Minister “inviting” ISI personnel after the Pathankot airbase strike in January and demanded to summon the Prime Minister before the committee as well.
