Parliament Live: Lok Sabha committee finds AAP’s Bhagwant Mann guilty of Parliament security breach, to submit report to Speaker tomorrow

Political uproar, erupted following the implementation of the demonetisation policy by the Narendra Modi government, had been affecting the parliament since more than a week.

Political uproar erupted following the implementation of the demonetisation policy by the Narendra Modi government had been affecting the parliament since more than a week. And with opposition parties blaming the Prime Miister and the central government for the continuing public distress following the note-ban policy, both Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha had been witnessing repeated adjournmnets, hindering the smooth proeedings of the winter session. Citing rise in the flow of black money in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on November 8, had initiated the demonetisation policy, following which there had been a ban on the old currency notes of the denominations Rs 500 and Rs 1,000. And even after more than three weeks since the implementation of the anti-graft policy, cash-starved people are seen, standing on long queues, outside banks and ATMs, waiting for hours, to replace their old paper currencies or collect usable cash from the money machines.

And as the 22 days sittings of the winter session in the parliament reaches its 10th day, here are today’s latest updates from the parliamentary houses:

03:15 pm: Amid heated political storm, Lok Sabha gets adjourned till 11 am tomorrow.

03:10 pm: Central government moved amendments in Income tax law after it saw that a few people were still trying to convert black money into white, post-demonetisation, said the Finance Minister.

03:00 pm: PM made a huge announcement on November 8 to fight the menace of black money and corruption in the country: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the Lok Sabha.

02:35 pm: Rajya Sabha adjourned till 11 AM tomorrow after heated uproar in the House by oppositions over the demonetisation policy.

02:20 pm: Amid political heat, over the demonetisation policy, Lok Sabha gets adjourned for the third time in the day, till 2:30 pm.

12:20 pm: Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned till 2 pm.

12:05 pm: Opposition leaders continue uproar over demonetisation, protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling BJP-government.

11:45 am: Lok Sabha adjourned till 12 noon amid heated political uproar over the note-ban policy.
