Pakistan summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner JP Singh in Islamabad and accused the Indian Army of firing along the line of Control (LoC) in which three Pakistani civilians were killed, a PTI report said. As per the report, Director General (South Asia and SAARC) Mohammad Faisal had summoned the Indian official and “condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations” by the Indian forces.It added that about three civilians were killed in the firing in Chirikot and Hot Spring sectors on Saturday and Monday respectively.
The Pakistani official also urged India to respect the 2003 arrangement, and asked the the Indian armed forces to respect the ceasefire in both letter and spirit it said. “Indian troops initiated unprovoked heavy weapons including mortar firing” targeting civilian population along the LOC in Jandrot and Hot spring sectors today, the Pakistan Army said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, Pakistani forces resorted to ceasefire violation along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir’s Krishna Ghati sector, an ANI report said, to which the Indian forces gave befitting reply, PTI said. The neighbouring country started firing from 06:20 a.m.Pakistan had also resorted to firing and shelling yesterday on Indian security posts along LoC in Rajouri and Samba districts.

Pakistan started indiscriminate firing of heavy automatics, small arms and mortars along the LOC in Naushera sector, PTI quoted a defence spokesman as saying . “The Indian Army posts are retaliating strongly and effectively. The firing is presently on,” he was quoted as saying by the agency.
