In a tragic incident, a 23-year-old techie was shot dead at her apartment in Noida on Wednesday. Identified as Anjali Rathour, the girl was a trainee engineer and belonged to Jagadhri near Yamuna Nagar in Haryana. In the morning at 6:34 am, the girl was shot in the head at Shatabdi Rail Vihar, a residential society in Sector 62 of Noida, which led to her death, reports Hindustan Times. Though the entire incident has been captured on a CCTV camera installed at the scene, the police have not been able to identify the culprit yet. The police have registered a case of murder at Sector 58 police station and started an investigation into the matter. Her body was sent for postmortem examination.
Anjali Rathour had graduated from Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar in 2016. In June last year, she got campus placement at Lava and started working with the company as a trainee engineer, the report said. She was supposed to be promoted at the office in June but before this, she was killed. Getting the information, her family members and relatives reached Noida. They accused a friend of the deceased hailing from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh of killing her. The friend was said to have studied with Rathour at the University and her call records also showed a call from him. According to cops, Rathour came down after a call from the friend at 6:05 am, when she was shot dead, the Hindustan Times report said.

Meanwhile, another techie has been reported dead near Chennai on the same day. An Infosys employee, Illayaraja (30) of Dindivanam, was found dead on the company’s premises at the Special Economic Zone (SEZ). According to The Hindu, the body of the deceased was naked at the time he was found lying dead in a restroom on the company’s premises.
