Bihar politics took a sharp turn when Janata Dal United (JDU) leader Nitish Kumar on Wednesday resigned from his post and then on the very next day was sworn-in as the Chief Minister for the 6th time. The difference in the Bihar government this time is that the party now has the support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after ties with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Indian National Congress (INC) were broken. Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh while reacting to the whole situation that has been going on in Bihar took to Twitter and reacted. Singh shared a post attacking the new Bihar Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi and said, “Once again the Governor of Bihar has violated the orders of the sarkari commission and the highest court.” In another tweet, he said, “Single largest party RJD has not been given a chance. BJP did neither believe in democracy before nor now. Damn for this act.”

Here are the tweets By Divijaya Singh-

Nitish Kumar after swearing-in as the CM of Bihar said, “My decision is in Bihar’s interest and for its development.” Dy CM Sushil Modi while addressing the media after their swearing-in ceremony said, “Development will be a priority, will take Bihar to greater heights.” Congress VP Rahul Gandhi while reacting to the situation said, “Mandate was given to Nitish ji for the anti-communal fight but now he has joined hands with them for his own selfish interests.” Former Bihar Dy CM Tejashwi Yadav too took to Twitter and said, “Entered in government with clean slate, keen desire of writing a positive story for Bihar people, only to find opportunist rival.”

Nitish Kumar on July 26th resigned as the Bihar CM, breaking the two-year-old mahagathbandhan that was formed after the 2015 state elections between the Lalu Yadav led RJD, Congress and JDU in the state. Kumar’s resignation came as a shock in between all the chaos that was created over Tejashwi Yadav’s won’t quit comment. As soon as Nitish Kumar’s resignation was accepted by the new Governor of Bihar on Wednesday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday had taken to Twitter to congratulate the JDU leader.
