National women’s team footballer Poonam Chauhan dies of dengue

National level footballer Poonam Chauhan has died during her treatment in a hospital. Poonam, who played for Indian football team in 2010, was suffering from dengue and got admitted in the hospital about a week ago.

National level footballer Poonam Chauhan has died during her treatment in a hospital. Poonam, who played for Indian football team in 2010, was suffering from dengue and got admitted in the hospital about a week ago.

Poonam was one of key players of the UP state football team and was also the part of the national team that had won gold medal at the South Asian games.

Poonam was presently working as a football trainer at Varanasi Sigra stadium.
