Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is currently in Gujarat on a two day-trip received wishes from all over the country for his 66th birthday. Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani also wished Modi on his birthday. He wrote a captivating testimonial on the prime minister’s website (narendramodi.in).

Anil shared a story about how his father Dhirubhai Ambani predicted in the 90s that Modi would go on to become the prime minister of the country.

In his special message Anil Ambani said, “Today is the birthday of our beloved Prime Minister Narendrabhai. I recall the time I first met him in the 1990s, when my father, Padma Vibhushan Dhirubhai Ambani, invited him home for dinner.”
Anil Ambani further wrote “At the end of the long intense conversation, and Modi left, Papa remarked: ‘Lambi race no ghodo chhe’. ‘Leader chhe’ – ‘PM banse’ – He’s a thoroughbred for the long run. A true leader! He will be Prime Minister!”

Anil Ambani’s testimony further reads,” In 2014, when the country chose Narendrabhai to be Prime Minister, it was a defining moment in our history and Papa would have been smiling from heaven that his prophecy as usual had come true.It is a tribute to Narendrabhai’s leadership that India now stands transformed as a nation where cynicism has made way for pride, inertia for efficiency and red-tape for corruption-free decision making.”

Anil added that his favourite way to describe Modi is by describing the Sanskrit meaning behind his name.
He went on to wish Modi for valour and austerity.
