In a major development, JD (U) leader and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi just one day after skipping lunch with Congress president Sonia Gandhi. The meeting has been welcomed by the Bharatiya Janata Party. As the opposition party leaders met on Friday in New Delhi to decide on a joint opposition candidate for the upcoming Presidential polls, Nitish Kumar’s absence, raised a few eyebrows. However, he played down the reports by saying, “I have already met Sonia Gandhi over it and has telephonic talks with prominent leaders of other parties.”
