Demonetisation Effect: Rajya Sabha leader representing the Samajwadi Party, Ram Gopal Yadav has recently taken a jibe at the whole Heeraben Modi (PM Modi’s mother) bank incident that caught up the headline yesterday. In his recent interaction with a news agency, Yadav said that PM should think that when even his mother is forced to stand in queue then what about others, its a crisis. Soon after Heeraben Modi arrived at a bank in Gandhi Nagar in Gujarat to exchange banned currency notes, almost every of BJP’s opposition parties started criticizing the Modi and the BJP by calling it a political move.
However, the Samajwadi party leader’s take on Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi standing in queue at a bank in New Delhi is way too different. He calls it to be a showoff (Vo toh dikhaava tha). A day after the note ban was announced by the Prime Minister, Rahul Gandhi queued outside an SBI to exchange his old currencies.
Earlier today, UP Cabinet Minister Azam Khan also took a jibe at Narendra Modi saying that if he would have known about Modi’s mother standing in bank queue to exchange old currencies, he would have never let her do that. Rather, he would have stood in line for her. BJP’s demonetization move has seen a mixed response both from public and political figures. Parties such as Congress, TMC, RJD, Left, JD (U) are amongst those who stand against it and are fighting government in the House. However, PM Modi has assured his MPs not to worry as he is sure that he has people’s support and thus, has advised them to stand tall against the pressure from the Opposition.
