Prime Minister Narendra Modi came on live via video conferencing today at the India Today Conclave and he said that he has been named as the ‘Disruptor-in-Chief’ by many. He said that for decades India has been struggling under wrong policies. PM said that since he has come into power he has sought to right those wrongs. But unfortunately, he said that everyone has interpreted these moves of the NDA government as ‘reforms’. “However, the Disruptor-in-Chief’ is not Modi, that role is being undertaken by the 1.2 bn strong Indian population. And it should not be interpreted in a wrong manner. What is happening today is not a disruption, this is a transformation driven by the people of India,” PM Modi said.

Further in his speech, PM Modi said, “We have ensured that we take a number of technology programmes out of Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan to ensure that science and technology benefits spread across the country.”

“We perceived the correction of mistakes as reforms and we considered the corrective measures that we took for bad policies of the past as reforms,” he said. Lauding the Make In India initiative, PM Modi said, it has become one of India’s biggest initiatives. The Prime Minister also said that India has become world’s 6th largest manufacturers and every state has taken ownership for uplifting the country as a whole. ‘Sabka sath, sabka vikaas’ is not just a slogan, but a necessity. “I want that the entire country should discuss and try to understand GST,” he added further. Further commenting upon the labor law reforms, PM Modi said that the government has worked towards easing the labor laws in the country, but expansion of job market in a must. Further speaking upon the black money laundering, the Prime Minister said that people are getting united in proceedings towards curbing the issue across the country.

Watch this:

“27 crore people got their bank accounts and in the coming 3 years nearly 5 crore people will be given gas connections. Under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, more than 4 crore toilets have been made in the country,” informed the PM. We have also worked in the favour of farmers and preponed the Union Budget by a month, he added further. “Larger budget has been sanctioned for the rail and road sector and their capability has increased thereafter,” added the Prime Minister.
