Launching a recent tirade of verbal attacks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has asked him to focus on governance, which is “suffering” under the NDA, rather than “snooping” on opponents.
From hinting at BJP and PM Modi’s vote share getting dropped, to the failed NSG bid Arvind Kejriwal has left no stones unturned, during his 13 day tour that spans three states – Goa, Punjab and Gujarat. Here are few of his attacks:
“AAP ad budget less than money spent on PM’s clothes.”
“It is being said we have given advertising of Rs 526 crore. Completely false. We have released advertising worth Rs 76 crore. That’s it. Advertising expenditure of all departments of the Delhi government is less than the total expenditure on Modi’s clothes,” Kejriwal said.
“Modi government’s vote share has dropped,”
The vote share of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP could have slipped by around eight percent since May 2014, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday.
“The BJP won 31 percent votes last time. Of this, 8-10 percent could belong to hardcore Hindutva, 7-8 percent votes could belong to the segment who are extremists and those who believe in Hindu ideology,” he said.
“Mr Modi, I Am Not Rahul, Sonia Gandhi Or Vadra”
“Modiji, I am not a Rahul Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi that you can scare me. I am not a Robert Vadra that you can have a setting (secret deal) with me. The Modi government doesn’t file cases against Rahul Gandhi or Sonia Gandhi or Vadra but it targets me,” Kejriwal had said.
“NDA government is creating an atmosphere of fear in the country.”
“If one doesn’t say Bharat Mata ki Jai, they beat you up. If one says Bharat Mata ji Jai in Kashmir, they beat you up. If one doesn’t eat beef, they beat you up, if you eat beef they beat you up too. They have made universities practically into war zones,” said Kejriwal, on a three-day trip to poll-bound Goa.
“What good are PM’s foreign visits, after ‘failing miserably’ at NSG”
“Sir, I hope u will tell the nation tomorrow why did u fail so miserably at NSG despite so many foreign visits,” Kejriwal said re-tweeting the Prime Minister tweet calling on the nation to join him in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ show.
“Gujarat visit cancelled as government denied programme at chosen venue.”
The sting done by AAP’s associated Surat businessman, Jailal, clearly showed the university registrar denying to give the hall if it would be used for Kejriwal’s event.
It was alleged that the cancellation was done at the behest of the state government.
AAP leader Ashutosh tweeted the following: “Anandi Ben’s dirty tricks is proof that BJP is scared of AAP/AAP is emerging as a real alternative/BJP’s days are numbered in Gujrat.”
Arvind Kejriwal has now decided to hold public rally in September in Gujarat.
“PM should concentrate on governance, which is suffering badly under NDA, rather than snooping on opponents.”
“Can the Prime Minister explain this? CBI reports directly to him. What does PM want? PM wants info about me? Let PM set up a team. I will come and answer all their questions. I have nothing to hide.”
“CBI is instructing Delhi government officers over the phone on which company should be given contracts and which ones should not be,” Mr Kejriwal said in a series of tweets.
