Heavy rains in Mumbai today affected the flight operations and caused diversions at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in the city.
“Flight operations have been delayed by up to 30 minutes and there have been seven go-arounds,” an airport spokesperson said, adding that there were five diversions.
Operations at the CSIA airport here have been hit for multiple days starting with the torrential downpour on Friday.
Heavy rains have lashed the city since late last evening, disrupting train and road traffic as well.
On Friday, flight operations were delayed by 45 minutes and four flights had to be diverted, while a snag in the radar hit operations on Saturday. This was followed by heavy rains delaying operations by 15 minutes on Sunday.
