Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asked the youth of the country to take advantage of a scheme that gives cash rewards in return for successfully suggesting to others to use Centre’s Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) App for financial transactions.Speaking in his monthly Mann Ki Baat programme, he said that the scheme is valid till October 14 and youngsters can benefit from it.

While addressing the country through his radio programme, the prime minister said that the new generation does not need cash as financial transactions are increasingly going digital/cashless. He added that even while the youth of the country is already making digital transactions, they also have a chance to earn while doing so under the Centre’s scheme.

According to the scheme, a person can earn Rs 10 every time he introduces the BHIM app to another person, who then make three digital transactions. The prime minister said that if the youth can make 20 people transact through the app, then they can earn Rs 200 per day, which will also help in their efforts to promote the government’s ‘Digital India’ drive.
