On Sunday the Prime Minister (PM) of India, Narendra Modi in his direct radio broadcast with the masses under the banner of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ addressed the nation about the need to build up a habit to remember the members of the armed forces during the festivals such as Diwali. In his address he said that such a tribute infuses enthusiasm among the soldiers and acts as a force multiplier in their efforts to safeguard our borders.

The PM mentioned how happy he was to notice that the students in the state of Jammu and Kashmir had appeared in the board examinations in overwhelming numbers and came out in flying colours.

On issue of demonetisation PM Modi applauded the citizens to have taken the drive in the right manner and spirit despite efforts to brainwash them. PM brought out instances of honesty among the citizens during this drive of demonetisation.

Where the efforts and the intention behind the demonetisation drive remains unquestionable even to this day, the opposition has not stopped taking political opportunism out of it. From Rahul Gandhi to Mayawati and from Mamata Banerjee to Arvind Kejriwal all have attacked the government in one or the other form. Parliament sessions have been stalled despite the Finance Minister’s repeated assertions that the government is ready to debate the issue of demonetisation in the floor of the house.

In his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ the PM appealed to the youth to embrace the technology of mobile banking and cashless transactions and also to help at least 10 others everyday to unerstand the  specifics. He encouraged to use apps that aid and fascilitate in the cashless transaction.

Here are the updates:

11 : 40 am: I want my young friends to not only have all applications of cashless transactions in their phones but also take the effort to make the nuances of applications understand to at least 10 people in their vicinity so that we move forward to the cashless society.

11: 34 am: I need your help my young friends, to move forward to a cashless society. Despite having all fascilities we have not explored the options of cashless society.

11 : 31 am: It is not necessary that this system has to work on a high technology platform, even it can work on simple feature phones

11 : 26 am : I want to urge to my young friends to embrace mobile banking technology, I invite all of you to be a part of this change. The way the business of big shopping malls have enhanced their volume of business then I believe a small businessman in the village can also replicate the same.

11: 22 am : The farmers have stood upright and still in this drive of demonetisation

11:18 am : I warn those people not to use the poor of my country for any corrupt practices of their own. Their are strict laws in place which will take care of those using the poor as as shield.

11 : 14 am : Even till date the corrupt minds are finding out ways and means to escape by using the poor people

11: 12 am : In this effort, if somebody comes out with flying colours, it is the citizens of this country

11:10 am : All over the world, economists and analysts are watching the effort of demonetisation drive and the patient participation of the citizens.

11:08 am : There was overwhelming suggestion before this edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ that there should be more talks on the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.

11:06 am : I congratulate the gram pradhans and to all those parents who have played influential role in educating their children in the Jammu and Kashmir who had participated in the board exams and scored 90 percent on an average

11:05 am : Some days back I visited a village in Jammu and Kashmir where the gram pradhans met me and expressed anguish over  the burning down of school
