Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday spoke to the media and claimed that Deputy CM Manish Sisodia might get arrested before Punjab elections. Kejriwal accused te centre of manipulating General V K Shunglu, former Controller and Auditor to put the Aam Aadmi Party in a spot. Speaking to IE, Kejriwal said that it was being revealed that the Shunglu Committee was conspiring against Manish Sisodia. Kejriwal said that Shunglu has been accused of winning the Chairman post of the DPS society by rigging the polls using deceitful ways.

Kejriwal further stated that Shunglu also has accusations of corruption against him. The Aam Aadmi Party Chief also said that they had lodged a complaint against Shunglu with the Lieutenant Governer and the Central government in May 2015. Kejriwal said that instead of acting on these complaints, ‘they’ had offered him to entrap the AAP government in return for giving him a clean chit. Kejriwal further stated that irrespective of what Shunglu had written the people knew that they were an honest government.

Kejriwal said that their sources have informed about Sisodia being the next target. Although the AAP would welcome this move as 15 other MLAs have also been arrested but shunglu must also be arrested, Kejriwal demanded. The Delhi CM also alleged that their opponents would not shy away from slapping any charges against AAP MLAs. IE sources reported that the Shunglu Committee has written about the issues which have already been covered by the media; irregularities in appointments across various Delhi government departments.
