Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia on Monday faced an ink attack outside the residence of Lieutenant Governer in the city. Sisodia was facing a lot of flak for his “educational” trip to Finland while the state of Delhi suffered a major health scare in the form of Dengue and Chikungunya. The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government is facing a lot of criticism from the opposition and the people of Delhi alike as it has failed to do its duties in the matter of health issues in the state.
Earlier yesterday, it was reported that the death toll due to chikungunya had risen to 15 in the national capital. Meanwhile, Manish Sisodia, who was on a trip to Finland, returned to the country on Wednesday, despite the Lieutenant Governer’s orders to shorten his trip due to the emergency situation. Sisodia also holds the education department in the state and had been in Finland since September 12 with his officers in order to study the education system of the country.
Earlier, pictures of him enjoying in Finland had surfaced in the media which had led the opposition to accuse him of holidaying in the country. Refuting these accusations, he had said that he was not committing a sin by studying the schooling system of the country to help fix the educational problems in Delhi. The AAP government was also accused of politicising the issue and playing the blame game as the state was reeling under the fever of dengue and chikungunya.
