PM Narendra Modi today reached Himachal Pradesh to address a public rally in Mandi. Modi, who had been busy with BRICS Summit today also inagurated three major power projects in the state.
Modi is visiting the state for the first time after becoming the Prime Minister of India. He will be inaugrating major projects, three that he already did early morning.
These power projects include Koldam project (800 MW) executed by National Thermal Power Corporation, Parvati Stage II project (530 MW) of National Hydropower Corporation and Rampur hydropower project (412 MW) of Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam. They will be contibuting majorly to the state welfare.
Besides the rally in Mandi, the BJP leader will also address a rally in Nahan as the state gears up for state Asembly elections in 2017. Modi had also visited the poll bound Uttar Pradesh on Dussehra. Keeping the upcoming polls in mind, BJP is making sure to put their best foot forward and with Modi’s level of popularity, it only makes sense that the people get a byte of him.
Keeping the visit in mind, high security arrangements have been made in Mandi and Nahan. The Police is on a tight vigil.
