The only cricketer to captain India to two World Cup victories, Mahendra Singh Dhoni will soon be seen as the face of an Indore-based Mysore Deep Perfumery House’s flagship incense stick brand “Zed Black”, Indian Express reported. According to the report, this move by the Mysore Deep Perfumery House will see the brand take hold of a major share in the Rs 6,000 crore incense stick market. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is a part of the Indian squad told reporters, “Prayers have always given me inner strength and confidence. I firmly believe in Zed Black’s tagline, “Prarthna Hogi Sweekar”, which means that all your prayers get answered when you put your best foot forward. I will be happy if I can infuse the value of prayer in the minds of Indian youth for the success of our country.”
Meanwhile, Zed Black’s Director, Ankit Agarwal told reporters that the company was delighted to sign M S Dhoni as the face of Zed Black. He said that the former Indian captain will be endorsing “Prarthna Hogi Sweekar” brand and help the company establish its foothold in the national market. Speaking to IE, he added, “We are very fortunate if we provide our generation with the power of prayers with Dhoni’s help…We are setting up one more state of the art factory at Indore which is about 2 lac”.
Agarwal also informed reporters that the company was setting up one more factory in Indore, the size of which would be about 2 lac square feet. This factory would be operational by January 2018 and help in increasing the production capacity of the company by 40%, providing employment to 600 people. Creative Director of the Oberoi IBC, Ram Krishna told IE, ““For the first time one will get to see the spiritual side of Dhoni, through the new campaign of Zed Black named, “Prarthna Hogi Sweekar”, which showcases the power of prayer and how it has been part of Dhoni’s cricketing journey”.
