Responding to a report aired by news channel Republic TV, Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday asked Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar if he would initiate an action against RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. Party’s National Spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said that act of receiving a convicted criminal’s phone call from jail, is itself a crime on part of Lalu Prasad Yadav. “Lalu is not a small politician. He’s a former CM. His sons are senior ministers in the Bihar government,” Ravi Shankar Prasad said. “Shahabuddin is worst form of our politics,” Prasad added.

As per a Republic TV report, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav allegedly conversed with convicted politician Mohammed Shahabuddin while the latter was in Siwan jail. The ‘tapes’ allegedly showed Shahabuddin issuing instructions to Yadav. The RJD chief is yet to respond to allegations. The channel also alleged of having received multiple calls from former Bihar chief minister asking not to play the tape. However, Financialexpress.com cannot verify the authenticity of these tapes.

Responding to the report, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bihar unit chief Sushil Modi said, ‘Lalu must quit public life’. He also said that a BJP delegation will meet state governor soon on the issue. In as series on tweets, Modi asked the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to taken an action. “Republic of Arnab has exposed how Lalu is taking instructions from Dreaded criminal Shahabuddin. Will Nitish act?” he wrote. His third tweet read as, “Minister Abdul Ghafoor in Nitish government went to Siwan jail to meet Shahabuddin & another Min Siddique met his parents.” Lok Janshakti Party leader Chirag Paswan was quoted by the channel saying, “Who runs the Govt in Bihar. The CM or Lalu’s gangster?”

Media standards nowadays jump onto conclusion when allegation is on a non bjp leader. Probe and prove wrong if allegation is on a BJP leader. If you are a lapdog then don't try to prove yourself honest and respectable. Press utes are trying to quite hard to destabilize ru coalition in Bihar. Being a bihari I know that they will fail miserably. As for Arnab Goswami I know your Papa and Mamu are in BJP stop sel your to them for that. Ask questions which matter. Don't be a rabble rouser. As for other fakers and charlatans who pose as nationalists online. I KNOW YOU GET PAID FOR IT THIS IS NO REASON FOR MISGUIDING OTHERS.
