It’s the festival of Karwa Chauth today and women across India are celebrating the festival in their own ways. While some married women skip the fast and go on about their day normally, some fast the entire day and await the moon. This leaves the fasting women constantly look for moon rise and puja timings on google and keeps them hooked to the TV for updates. While some fasting women skip work, others make sure they keep themselves busy. Women have over the years worked out on a way to work around this day but that does not stop Twitterati from trolling this festival. Check out these funny tweets from people across twitterland and have a good laugh.
This mumbai woman trolled the ritual for its belief that the Karwachauth fast adds on to the husband’s life.
Karwa chauth is nothing but Renewal of Annual Life Insurance..#KarwaChauth

Sanjay Hegde, another resident of the twitterland brings out the whole sanskari debate in his tweet.
When #KarwaChauth and your marriage anniversary are on the same day, is it sanskaari to go out for lunch?

[email protected]_Of_Pace clearly belongs to the first category and does not believe that women need to stay hungry for their husbands. He invokes Steve Jobs in his tweet to make his statement.
“Stay hungry. Stay foolish.” – Steve Jobs on #KarwaChauth

Bakwas Rider takes a step ahead and tries to step inside the mind of the starving women by posting this picture with his tweet.

Karwachauth fast requires women to wake up at dawn and have their meal because they’re not supposed to eat while the Sun is up. This had Bharti Jain trolling the fast with this tweet –
#KarwaChauth : The day when married women in north India tank up with a full meal at 4.30 am!
— Bharti Jain (@bhartijainTOI)
Twitter had much to say about this day and women have so far taken these comments sportingly. Let’s see if the fasting women are able to keep their cool even when they’re empty stomach.
