The Bharatiya Janata Party today demanded a high level and independent investigation into the unfortunate suicide of former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Kalikho Pul who was found dead at the Chief Minister’s official residence yesterday which he was yet to vacate.
On Tuesday Pul’s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan of the bedroom of the CM’s residence at Itanagar which he had not vacated yet. As per sources a suicide note was found at the place of the alleged misshap but police has refused to say anything on it.
Supporters gathered in hundreds outside his residence at Itanagar as the news of his death spread across wild fire. While some demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Pema Khandu others burnt the coffin brought for Mr. Pul.
People of Arunachal has the right to know the truth behind his death,” BJP National Secretary Shrikant Sharma said.
Pul briefly served as the chief minister from February 19 to July 13 before the Supreme Court reinstated the Nabam Tuki government.
47-year-old Pul was found dead at the Chief Minister’s official residence yesterday which he was yet to vacate.
