Jet Airways offer: The premium service airline on Tuesday announced a special discounted all-inclusive, one-way economy class fares priced as low as Rs 1,111 on a few domestic sectors for a limited time period. According to a statement, the ticket bookings under the three-day monsoon sale starts from tomorrow (June 7). The interested passengers could travel in these concerned sectors between June 27 and September 20. The last date for customers to book tickets under the available discount is June 9, 2017. In a press release, the airline said that special fare tickets would be made available on first-come- first-served basis. The said offer will also be valid on direct flights for both one way and return journeys.

Earlier on May 31, Jet Airways had announced a 24-Hour Sale’ offer, under which it was offering a 15% discount on premiere and economy class international flights from India. The websites had also noted that the interested customers had to purchase the tickets a minimum of 20 days prior to departure. According to NDTV, one-way journeys from Delhi to Chandigarh and Mumbai to Bengaluru had been made available for Rs 1,827 and Rs 1,991 respectively.

The report had also stated that airlines were facing heightened competition in the Indian market amidst an unprecedented growth in the sheer number of passengers in the last few months. According to the data gathered from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the domestic air passenger traffic had risen to more than 15% to 91.34 lakh in the month of April, thus getting airlines such as AirAsia, GoAir, IndiGo and Vistara to announce discounts in the same period.
