A group of expert doctors had been treating the Chief Minister and had also drawn a detailed medical management plan, made in concern with the medical history of diabetes and winter bronchitis of Jayalalithaa. A panel of doctors from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi had also been analysing the health condition of the CM and will stay in the state till Friday. The present line of treatment carried out the doctors includes antibiotics, nebulisation, drugs to decongest the lungs, nutrition, general nursing care and supportive therapy.
The congress vice president’s visit had been marked as a ‘private programme’ and security branches had been tied up for piloting the vehicle of Rahul Gandhi in Chennai. Security at the Apollo hospitals has also been beefed up, eying the visit of the Congress vice president. Rahul Gandhi is expected to fly back to Delhi today evening after his visit to Jayalalithaa.
