15 Indian posts have been targeted by Pakistan military as the ceasefire violations continued in RS Pura sector of J&K for the third day. 6 civilians have been killed as BSF retaliates with equal fervour.
Ever since India carried surgical strikes across LoC launch pads of Pakistan, approx 43 such attacks have happened and this one being the 10th ceasefire violation in 9 days.
At least 11 civilians were injured on Wednesday morning as well as many houses in the area were destroyed. Heavy exchange of fire, involving use of 82 mm and 120 mm mortar shells besides small arms were made by Pak’s side.
A six-year-old boy and a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier were killed in heavy shelling and firing by Pakistani troops in RS Pura sector earlier on October 24. Another BSF soldier and eight civilians were also injured in the firing. Another BSF jawan Gurnam Singh, who was hit in the sniper attack in Hiranagar sector along the International Border in Kathua district on Friday night, had died late on Saturday.
Multiple ceasefire violations have been reported along the International Border and LoC after India conducted surgical strikes following the Uri attack that killed 19 Indian Army soldiers.
