AIADMK has launched a social media campaign to counter the speculation about the Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s health. The party tweeted a link where users could go and change their profile photos on Twitter to say “My CM is fine” and “No more rumours”. “All is well with Puratchi Thalaivi Amma. Jayalalithaa’s health has been the subject of speculation on social media for more than a week, sparking rumours of her in intensive care. The state government and her party, the AIADMK, have repeatedly quashed the rumours. Jayalalithaa was admitted to Chennai’s Apollo Hospital on September 22 with high fever and dehydration.

Meanwhile Kerala Governor P. The Kerala Governor made the comments after visiting the Apollo Hospital with Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
