Amid the growing political debate over PM Narendra Modi’s historic announcement to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes, senior political leaders Lalu Prasad and Sushil Kumar Modi took a dig at each other over the state of Indian Railways. It all started with when former Bihar chief minister and Railways Minister Lalu Prasad tweeted alleging that Railways is rapidly slipping into a “financial morass” and “debt trap”. BJP leader and former Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi promptly replied to the tweet accusing Lalu Prasad of “milking” the Railways, and then took his attack further by saying that PM Narendra Modi knew better than him because he served tea with milk on railway platform.
