The Indian Air Force’s MiG-21 on Tuesday crashed at the Srinagar airport. The pilot was safely evacuated but all flights have been stopped as the crash damaged the entire runway. The causes of the crash are yet to be revealed but it was seen that the MiG-21 overshot the runway while landing. The Srinagar airport is located at a distance of 12kms from the city. It handles about 560 flights every week.
