Law and order is equal for everyone in Uttar Pradesh under the Yogi Adityanath-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, said the state cabinet minister Siddharth Nath Singh. The minister on Tuesday shared a video on his Twitter account in which he told media that disobedience will not be tolerated even if they come from their own party. In the video, the minister was asked by a scribe that are the officials not listening to the government? Singh denied this and said that the government is working to establish a system in which the officials works according to the directives issued to them. The minister also made a subtle attack on previous governments of Uttar Pradesh saying “it has been going on in the state that the officials do not adhere to orders issued to them”. However, it will not happen in the present system, assured the minister.

In his next post, the minister thanked Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for committing to make 100 hospitals of Uttar Pradesh E-hospitals. He said, in his tweet, that the decision will end long queues. “Grateful to Sh @rsprasad for committing to make 100 hospitals of UP E-hospitals, ending long Qs”, posted Singh.

Another Uttar Pradesh minister also took to Twitter to share government’s decision on renaming the Mughalsarai railway station after Deen Dayal Upadhyay ideologue of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and construction of a memorial. Shrikant Sharma, in a series of tweets, mentioned this and further said that the state cabinet has decided to turn 375 Nagar Panchayats of the state into Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyay Adarsh Nagar Panchayats in five years. These Nagar Panchayats are 89 per cent of total Nagar Panchayats in UP, Sharma added.

According to a PTI report quoting Siddharth Nath Singh, the decision to rename the railway station was taken at a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The minister said that after the cabinet nod, a proposal to rename the railway station will now be sent to the Union Ministry of Railways.
