In yet another incident of politicians taking the wrong road by misusing their power and position, a senior National Congress Party leader was caught on camera while abusing an IAS officer on Thursday afternoon in Raigarh. In a video posted by news agency ANI on its Twitter handle, NCP leader Prashant Patil can be seen abusing and threatening a senior IAS officer. The incident took place during a meeting in the administration block of Maharashtra’s Jawaharlal Nehru Port. During this meeting, the NCP leader was discussing some local issues with the officials but at one point, Prashant Patil lost control and started abusing one of the officers and throwing papers at him. When another person tried to calm him down, Patil pushed him away. However, FinancialExpress.com cannot verify the authenticity of the video.
This was not the only incident in the day in which a political leader lost his temper and turned to violence. Earlier in the day, Telugu film star and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna allegedly slapped a fan in Kurnool district, a video of which has gone viral on social media. In a video clip that went viral on social media, the Hindupur MLA was seen purportedly slapping a fan in the hotel lobby.

Balakrishna had reportedly lost his cool when an over-excited fan fell in him. “He was very tired after a hectic day and when he reached the hotel around 10.45 pm there was a big crowd gathered there. Balakrishna obliged when they wanted to garland him but suddenly this man fell on him because of the jostling. Balakrishna then pushed him away,” a TDP leader accompanying him told PTI.
