The online transportation network company Ola on Wednesday launched Ola Credit – a unique postpaid service to help citizens who can now pay later for their rides. This was done at a time when most citizens are facing severe cash crunch due to demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. Under this scheme, the company will give customers a week time of credit so that they can keep on booking Ola cabs without worrying about having required cash.
Ola Credit can be repaid through debit or credit cards or net banking through Ola Money e-wallet which is already integrated into the app. It will help commute to key corporate clients and high-frequency customers without any hassle. Raghuvesh Sarup, Chief Marketing Officer and Category Head at Ola said in the company’s website that the Ola Credit will help India move towards a cashless economy and added that under this initiative passengers can now pay later for their rides.
Head of Travel & Dir. Aviation at Larsen and Toubro Dr. Sanjay Pai added that he was happy with the the kind of transparency and efficiency the Ola Credit brings at all levels. He further added that as companies like Ola supports the government’s Digital India, it will see have far reaching benefits in the overall growth of the nation.
Company’s Ola Money is one of the most preferred modes of payment, after cash and with Ola Credit, passengers will experience cashless transactions for their mobility needs.
