The design of Yamuna expressway is defective. The concrete road generates huge amount of heat due to friction thereby resulting in bursting of tyres. Due to this the incidents of bursting of tyres are very frequent on Yamuna expressway. To avoid/reduce accidents, all vehicles must be checked for air pressure in tyres / condition of tyres at the entry points on expressway. Also its design needs to be got reexamined/investigated and the corrective actions be taken.
