RK Studio was founded in 1948. It houses the logistics of the RK Films production company, established by and named after Bollywood actor Raj Kapoor. When Raj Kapoor passed away in 1988, his elder son, Randhir Kapoor, took over the studio, said a PTI report. Later, his younger brother, Rajiv Kapoor, directed a film titled ‘Prem Granth’. Even Rishi Kapoor tried his hands at direction with ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’.
