A massive case of an alleged fraud to grab Lucknow land worth over Rs 100 crore has come to the fore. The case becomes even more important as it is related to high-profile and influential people – Mulayam Singh’s family – of Uttar Pradesh. The land belonged to Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). Allegedly Aparna Yadav’s mother fraudulently allotted Lucknow land to her husband AS Bisht.
According to an Indian Express report, two other departmental officials – then project officer Seema Agrawal and section officer Devendra Lal – were also found involved in the fraudulent act. An action has been initiated against all the three including Ambi Bisht by the LDA, says the IE report.
Noteworthy, AS Bisht (Arvind Singh Bisht) is presently serving as information commissioner and he is ‘samdhi’ of Samajwadi Party veteran and father of Aparna Yadav. And, Aparna is married to Mulayam’s son Prateek Yadav. Ambi Bisht is Aparna’s mother. (Ambi Bisht allotted land to her husband AS Bisht.)
What did Aparna’s mom do to allot land in her husband’s name?
An Indian Express report says that according to LDA Joint Secretary Mahendra Kumar Mishra,”A complaint claiming that Ambi Bisht got a property — B-114 in TG-Chandganj housing scheme of LDA — allotted fraudulently in her husband’s name was received last year.”
As per a statement given by LDA Joint Secretary Mahendra Kumar Mishra to Indian Express, “Ambi Bisht prepared a duplicate file with forged papers showing that the plot was allotted to her husband Arvind Bisht.” “However, when the registrar office was contacted, the LDA was informed that there were no such records,”, he added.
According to the investigation done so far by LDA, deputy secretary in authority Ambi Bisht had fraudulently allotted ‘patta’ of land in TG North Chandganj Yojana in the year 2015. She allotted land/plot no. B 114 to her husband by forgery. The area of this land is 12,000 sq ft. This all happened in 2015 i.e. during Akhilesh Yadav government in the state.
As per a report in Dainik Jagran, the land worth over Rs 100 crore.
However, speaking to The Indian Express, Ambi Bisht denied the allegations. She claimed that a controversy was unnecessarily being created to insult her due to political reasons. “This is being done because I am a relative of Mulayam Singh Yadav,” Ambi added.
Now, a further investigation has been launched into the matter by the Yogi Adityanath led UP government.
Notably, when Yogi became UP CM he had promised to launch a crackdown on land mafia in the state.
