A leopard was clubbed to death in Mandawar village near Haryana district of Gurugram yesterday evening. The animal had strayed into the village earlier in the day. The villagers attacked it with sticks and other weapons, but not before it created panic among locals and injuring some people. The also alleged that police and Forest Department personnel who arrived late were also not well-equipped to catch the animal.

As per ‘The Hindu’ report, a large number of locals chased after the animal with sticks and farming equipment as it ran on streets for hours. It was finally cornered inear the house of village sarpanch around noon. The paper quoted the village sarpanch Dhan Singh as saying that a chowkidar had informed him of the animal nearly two weeks back, which was again spotted on Thursday after which police and forest department were informed.

Alleging that they reached late in the village, Singh said they did not carry any weapon to catch the animal., but only a net which was not enough to catch an adult leopard.

Earlier this month, a leopard entered in a residence in Kotabagh area of Uttarakhand’s Nainital . It was caught by wildlife department. Department officials reached the spot and tranquilised it. There was also no report of any injury. Last month, another leopard was caught in the Maharashtra villlage of Saikheda.

The problem is not the leopard, but human overpotion. We are responsible for that, what is actually going on on Earth: deforestation, habitat loss, m extinction of animal species, overfishing, genetically modified animals and GMOs, climate change, we even hunt animals just for fun.India has one of the highest potion densities, approximately 1,010 people per square kilometer, that's about 7 persons on 1 football court. And their potion is still growing very fast. Have a look at &met_y=sp_pop_totl&idim=country:IND:CHN&am Of course this causes a lot of problems, and the Indians know that. The politicans already try to take care about it, but unfortunatelly obviously without success. This situation will soon become critical. By 2050 we won't have enough food worldwide. Food prices already increase. And poor people will soon be forced to eat cheaper genetically modified food. What comes next? "Soylent Green"? We already have this situation, that a lot of people from North Africa and Middle East want to come to Europe. But our "welcome culture" is already changing. For example Austria accepts only 19,950 refugees each year. In future certainly also a lot of people from India and Sout East Asia will move towards Europe. In the worst case scenario overpotion could cause the next world war. And everyone knows this famous quote of Einstein: 'I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.'I am ready to help.
