India’s legendary off-spinner Harbhajan Singh is known for not mincing his words. The Mumbai Indians player has been involved in many controversies throughout his career because of his aggression and never die attitude. Looks like the 36-year-old is in no mood to hold his words back even though he is not a part of the Indian cricket team anymore. Bhajji who is highly active on various social media platforms like some of the other cricketers of his generation, took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to have his say on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) levied by the Indian government.

Harbhajan was baffled by the fact why both state and central governments are charging 9% GST each. “While making payment of bill after dinner in restaurant, it feels like state govt & central govt both had a dinner with us,” Bhajji wrote on Twitter, referring to the 9% state and 9% central taxes levied by restaurants. As expected, Twitter was flooded with reactions, some in favour of Bhajji and some, against him. Here are to Twitter reactions:

Earlier, Bhajji was in the news for his remarks against the Australian team which is currently struggling get its first win of the India tour. While speaking to Aajtak’s YouTube platform, Sportstak, Harbhajan said, “The kind of cricket Australia is playing it appears as if Sri Lankans are playing in yellow clothing. I haven’t seen that Australian thing from them here. And whatever I know of Virat and his team they will be looking for nothing less than 5-0.”

Harbhajan who is India’s third highest Test-wicket taker of all time, added that this Australian side is only a shadow of teams he competed against. “Look it’s obvious the Australian side that I competed against, the top 7 or 8 blokes were all match winners. Anyone could come in and win a match in his own right or score a hundred. They had that ability,” he added.

May be Bhaji didn't check the bills before. There used to be VAT, Service Tax, Service Charge and 2 cesses, which was amounting to 22.6 of tax.
