A woman was killed by a stalker at Gurgaon’s MG Road Metro station on a busy Monday morning. The 34-year old woman, who hailed from Shillong, used to work at a beauty parlour at Delhi’s Rohini area.
Her family members alleged that the accused, Jitender was stalking victim Pinky Devi for the last few months. She used to live in Gurgaon along with her husband, Maan Singh, who works in a pantry in Gurgaon. The couple had been married for three years. According to the police, the incident took place on Monday when the victim entered the Metro station two to travel to Rohini.
After the incident, the scene of the crime had been cordoned off by the police. Signboards were placed around the pool of blood, which was also surrounded by plastic bottles and slippers.
An eyewitness, also said that Jitender first assaulted Pinky from behind, hitting her. When she fell to the ground, he allegedly pulled out a knife, and slit her throat. He kept sitting on her and stabbing her, on her face, her hands, a food vendor at the Metro station was quoted as saying by ‘The Indian Express”.
In March 2013, a 25-year-old woman was killed and her father critically injured after her husband allegedly shot at them outside the Karkardooma Metro station. The accused later committed suicide, with his body found hanging from a tree near a railway station at Muradnagar in Uttar Pradesh the next day.
